RigPass Training Curriculum

How Does it Work?

This curriculum has been developed to comply with the IADC RigPass® / SafeGulf training requirements for internet-based training. A RigPass® card can be issued upon fulfillment of all of the requirements as set forth by IADC. The curriculum is available with the Offshore, Land Based, or both endorsements. Here is a basic overview of the IADC requirements and some of the required procedures:

This curriculum, using a hybrid method of both internet-based and classroom training, must be administered by an IADC accredited training provider.
The curriculum may be taken from any location with internet connectivity. The student registers with the training provider and the training provider enrolls the student for the courses the student must complete. The training provider will have administrative access to the hosting site to monitor the students' progress, completion, etc.
The training provider's accredited instructor is available to answer any questions at any time.
Upon completion of the training, the student and the instructor are sent email notifications that the prerequisite training courses have been completed and the instructor can provide a company and site-specific classroom orientation.
Upon completion, the student is required to take a final proctored test. The test must be administered and proctored by an accredited instructor. The training provider and the student will then schedule a time for the student to take the test. The test may be administered via the internet or a written hard copy.
At the time of the final test, the student will produce the required identification, have a picture taken, and discuss any topics of concern.
The student must achieve a score of 80% or better to complete the training. The student will have two attempts to pass this test.
The instructor will review all incorrectly answered questions with the student, providing further remediation and answering any questions. The student may be issued a digital RigPass® card at this point. The completion records will then be loaded into the IS Networld database, if required.
